-2010: Degree in Foreign Languages and Literatures, from Alma Mater Studiorum University of Bologna, with a thesis entitled "The modern and contemporary history of Asakusa and its literature" (supervisor prof. Paola Scrolavezza);

-1999: Degree in English and American Literature, major in Linguistics, from Showa Women's University (Tokyo), with a thesis entitled "Comparative analysis of language acquisition between Japanese and English" (supervisor prof. Craig Kelly);

-1999: Training course on Japanese language teaching, at Showa Women's University.
