Hambal Iqbal's research is primarily focused on Metal Additive Manufacturing including Direct Energy Deposition (DED) and Laser Powder Bed Fusion (L-PBF). More specially, Wire-Arc Additive Manufacturing (WAAM): utilizing Plasma Transferred Arc (PTA) and Gas Metal Arc (GMA) variants of WAAM as well as Laser Direct Energy Deposition. The research involves process dynamics, material characterisation and testing.
