I hold a degree in Bioinformatics and a PhD in General Zootechnics and Genetic Improvement (AGR/17). Over twelve years of experience, I work on bioinformatics for livestock species, focusing on genetic improvement and biodiversity conservation. My work involves analyzing genomic and metabolomic data through technologies like Next Generation Sequencing and high-throughput genotyping.
I currently analyze, as member of the Animal and Food Genomics Group, genomic data for pigs, cattle, rabbits, and honey bees, integrating it with other -omics data (metabolomics, phenomics, etc.). I am involved in European and National projects. I am available for internships related to ongoing projects and to the topics related to my teaching activity.
