He graduated cum laude in 2010 from the University of Bari, where he subsequently obtained a 3-year degree of Specialization. Moreover, he completed a 1-year Rotating Internship during which he found out his passion for cardiology. He continued his training in this field by completing a 1-year Specialty Internship (Cardiology), followed by a PhD program focused on cardiology at Department of Veterinary Medical Sciences (DIMEVET) of the University of Bologna and, later, a Master at the Department of Cardiac, Thoracic and Vascular Science and Public Health of the University of Padova. Then, he completed a Residency in Cardiology under the European College of Veterinary Internal Medicine shared between the Universities of Bologna and Zurich, becoming a Cardiology Diplomate in 2021. He has been speaker at national and international scientific meetings, and is an active reviewer of scientific manuscripts, having contributed to over 20 different peer-reviewed journals in this role, author of numerous publications, including book chapters and more than 60 scientific articles, and Associate Editor (Cardiology) of the Journal of Small Animal Practice.
