Giacomo Sigismondo

Research fellow at the Department of Cultural Heritage at the University of Bologna from 2024 and PhD student in Cultural Heritage Science at the University of Salento.
His research interest spans Landscape Archaeology, Geoarchaeology, Roman Archeology and Methods and Techniques in Archaeology, and his work particularly focuses on rural landscape and settlement dynamics between the Hellenistic and Roman period in the provinces (Epirus and ancient Sicily).
He is currently senior team member of the Butrint Project, the Italian and Albanian Mission carrying out excavations and field surveys in Southern Albania.
