Gareth Robert Edward Surman

Gareth Surman is a research fellow in the lab of Professor Paolo Melchiorre since 2024. His research is focused on the development of new biocatalytic radical processes triggered by light. Prior to this he undertook his PhD at the University of Manchester under the supervision of Professor Sabine Flitsch, studying the use of ancestral sequence reconstruction for biocatalysis.
