Gabriele Terlato is a post-doctoral researcher specializing in zooarchaeology and taphonomy. His research primarily focuses on the analysis of animal remains from Paleolithic sites to investigate various aspects, including taphonomic processes, the evolution of dietary and subsistence strategies, site formation processes, and human-carnivore interactions.
He has trained and worked at leading research centers for the study of the Paleolithic in Europe, including the University of Ferrara (Italy), the University of Tübingen (Germany), and the University of Cantabria (Spain). Gabriele has conducted quantitative zooarchaeological analyses at several key sites in Italy, Spain, and Croatia. Additionally, he has integrated zooarchaeological data with biomolecular analyses, such as ZooMS (Zooarchaeology by Mass Spectrometry) and stable carbon and nitrogen isotope on animals.
