Gabriele Pirazzini was born in Faenza, Italy, in 1995 and received his master's degree (summa cum laude) in Biomedical Engineering, from the University of Bologna, in 2021, with a thesis in “Neural Systems” entitled “On the possible role of cortical rhythms in the expression and extinction of conditioned fear: an analysis of electroencephalographic signals.”
He is currently a PhD candidate at the University of Bologna in the Biomedical, Electrical and Systems Engineering (IBES) programme, Bioengineering curriculum, research topics: Neuroimaging and Computational Neuroscience.
His research project concerns the study of brain rhythms in cognitive and neuropathological processes through the analysis of electroencephalographic data and simulations with neurocomputational models.
