My research focuses on the integration of information from multiple sources, remote sensing and citizen science, into new modelling and forecasting approaches to identify sources of pollution, anthropogenic impacts and the effects of climate change in order to propose targeted mitigation and sustainable land management strategies.

1. Implementation and development of Citizen Science activities with citizens and local authorities mainly related to freshwater environments:

a) water quality monitoring

b) E. coli and balneability

c) monitoring of riparian vegetation

d) monitoring with macroinvertebrates

2. Evaluation of Ecosystem Services

3. Remote sensing and spatial analysis (GIS)

4. The relationship people have with nature, their connection, and how ecosystems are valued by local communities
