Curriculum vitae

I have been Marie Skłodowska-Curie at Newcastle University with PiCoBoo, an international, EU-funded research project with the H2020-EU.1.3. - EXCELLENT SCIENCE – Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (grant agreement n. 792994). The project, in partnership with the Victoria & Albert Museum, London, and Seven Stories, The National Centre for Children's Book, and in collaboration with the British Library, Bodleian Libraries, Cotsen's Children Library, Princeton University, has been supervised by Matthew O. Grenby and mentored by Brian Alderson.

After a degree, with Anna Ottani Cavina, and three-year master degree in Art History at the University of Bologna, I received an interdisciplinary PhD in semiotics and visual studies at the University of Siena and the Italian Institute in Human Sciences, Florence, under the supervision of Victor I. Stoichita and Omar Calabrese, and I have been fellow at Harvard, Yale, Princeton, Oxford, and Philip and Frances Hofer Lecturer at Harvard.

Academic research aside, I have been working in libraries and archives for a long time: for about ten years, I have been curator librarian at the Art Library of the Federico Zeri Foundation, University of Bologna, managed as an 'author's collection'.
