Floriana Jessica Di Paola

Floriana Jessica Di Paola holds a Ph.D. in Biochemistry completed at the Justus Liebig University of Giessen, Germany. Her Ph.D. project was founded by an ITN Marie Sklodowska-Curie fellowship (TRANSMIT - TRANSlating the role of Mitochondria in Tumorigenesis). She spent a period abroad as researcher at Oroboros Instruments Company (Innsbruck, Austria), in order to investigate the mitochondrial physiology of cancer cells through the high-resolution respirometry. She holds a master’s degree in Molecular and Cellular Biology completed at University of Bologna (Italy) and a bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences completed at University of Catania (Italy).
She attended several international training and dissemination activities as well as international conferences related to her field. Her present research interests are concerned with molecular mechanisms of colorectal cancer, chemioprevention of colorectal cancer and cancer metabolism. Go to the Curriculum vitae
