Federico Smanio, 52 years old, married with three children, holds a degree in Economics from the University of Bologna and is the CEO of Wylab, the first sports-tech startup incubator in Italy. With a background as a professional football player and a significant role as Head of the Digital Area for the Serie B League, he has 28 years of experience in professional sports. For the past 10 years, he has been providing consultancy services to entrepreneurs, startups, and corporate companies in the sports sector and has been actively teaching in various master’s programs and university courses on topics such as digital transformation, innovation, and entrepreneurship. Passionate about social media, he participates as a speaker and moderator in numerous events on sports and innovation both in Italy and internationally. Since 2022, he has also served as Program Director of WeSportUp, the sports and wellness accelerator of the National CdP Network, launched in collaboration with Sport e Salute.
