Federico Condello is Full Professor of Classical Philology at the Alma Mater Studiorum-University of Bologna, Dpt. of Classics and Italian Studies (http://www.ficlit.unibo.it [http://www.ficlit.unibo.it/]). He is tenured Professor of Greek and Latin Philology (MA degree: Philology, Literature and Classical Tradition) and lecturer of the Laboratory of Translation from ancient Greek and Latin (TraSLA, Second cycle degree: Philology, Literature and Classical Tradition). He is member of the editorial board of «Eikasmos» (http://www2.classics.unibo.it/Eikasmos) and many other journals; member of the Research Centre «La permanenza del Classico» (http://www.permanenza.unibo.it [http://www.permanenza.unibo.it/] ); PhD supervisor for the PhD Course in Literary, Philological and Historical Cultures of the University of Bologna. He collaborates, as expert in classics and classical reception, with the newspapers «il manifesto» and its cultural supplement «Alias-la talpalibri» (Rome), «Corriere della Sera» (Milan), «La Repubblica» (Rome).
Federico Condello was born in Verona, Italy, 1973.09.28. 1991/1992: Secondary school diploma, Liceo Ginnasio Statale «S. Maffei», Verona. 1997/1998: Degree in Classical Studies, University of Bologna (final dissertation: «Studi sulla topica teognidea»; supervisor: Prof. Enzo Degani). 2001/2002: PhD in Greek and Latin Philology, University of Bologna (PhD dissertation: «Sigilli. Ricerche sullo statuto dell'auctoritas letteraria in Grecia arcaica e classica»; supervisor: Prof. Renzo Tosi, with Prof. Gabriele Burzacchini and Prof. Massimo Vetta). 2000-2003: Professor of Italian, Latin and Greek Literature at the secondary school. 2003: Research fellowship in Greek Literature at the University of Bologna, with the project «Testimonianze della poetica preplatonica alla luce delle più recenti acquisizioni critiche». 2005-2014: University Researcher and Assistant Professor in Classical Philology at the University of Bologna. 2005-2010: he was tenured Professor of Greek Literature and Civilization (First cycle degree: Lettere, Scienze Antropologiche) and Greek Grammar (Second cycle degree: Filologia, Letteratura e Tradizione Classica); in the same period he was teacher in the following courses: Greek Language and Literature (First cycle degree, Bologna), Greek Literature (First cycle degree, Bologna), Latin Civilization (First cycle degree, Bologna-Ravenna), History of Classical Scholarship (Second cycle degree, Bologna), History of Textual Tradition and Classical Scholarship (Second cycle degree, Bologna).
