Federico Cadalanu is a PhD candidate in the XL cycle for the Cinema, Photography, and Television section at the University of Bologna. Under the supervision of Prof. Marco Cucco, his research project focuses on contemporary animation, with particular attention to the representation of sustainability and ecological themes.
In 2019, Federico Cadalanu earned a Bachelor's Degree in Arts and Sciences of Performing Arts from the University of Rome La Sapienza. In 2022, he graduated cum laude with a Dual Master’s Degree in Preservation and Presentation of the Moving Image from the University of Amsterdam. In 2024, he completed a Master's in Film and Audiovisual Management at the University of Bologna.
He has worked in editorial and organizational roles with the International Audiovisual Market (MIA) and the human rights film festival Movies that Matter. He has written about the audiovisual industry and pop culture for The Hollywood Reporter Roma and Ultimo Uomo.
