Teaching

Dissertation topics suggested by the teacher.

The proposed theses can be carried out in collaboration with the Department of Physics and Astronomy staff and seismologists from INGV.

Active kinematics and tectonics:

- Inversion of ground displacement velocities from GNSS and InSAR data for the study of the geometry and slip-rates of active faults along the Southern Alps and Northern Apennines thrust fronts;

- Estimation of the degree of inter-seismic coupling from kinematic models and implications for the estimates of seismogenic potential;

- Estimation of the degree of inter-seismic coupling from kinematic models for the AltoTiberina fault (Northern Apennines) from the inversion of ground displacement velocities constrained by seismological data;

- Study of ground deformation and transient deformation signals in the Val D'Agri area (Southern Apennines);

Geodynamics and interactions between solid Earth and fluid Earth:

- Study of the coupling between crustal deformation and lithospheric deformation from geodetic and seismic anisotropy data;

- Study of the vertical deformation rates of the Alpine area and correlation with the uplift component linked to glacio-isostatic processes and the melting of current ice;

Hydro-geodesy

- Study of vertical deformation transients from geodetic data for the study of water content variations in the subsoil.
