Curriculum vitae

Elia Rizzetto is a Research Fellow at the Department of Classical Philology and Italian Studies at the University of Bologna. Currently, his research focuses on designing and implementing solutions for detecting, analyzing, and resolving errors in large bibliographic data collections. As a collaborator at the Research Centre for Open Scholarly Metadata at the University of Bologna, he carries out his work within the research group of OpenCitations, a non-profit organization dedicated to publishing open bibliographic data according to Open Science principles.

  • From May 2024: Research Fellowship, Research Centre for Open Scholarly Metadata at the University of Bologna.
  • May 2023-April 2024: Research Grant (E.R.C. funded), Research Centre for Open Scholarly Metadata at the University of Bologna. Activity focused on aligning entities present in two large collections of bibliographic metadata for scholarly publications, OpenAlex and OpenCitations Meta. More specifically, the work has focussed on: implementing plugins for OpenCitations' existing (Python) software to add OpenAlex identifiers to the metadata available for resources already present in OpenCitations databases; documenting the methodology, implementation, and analysis of results in the form of reports and scientific publications. Part of this work has been presented at the 20th IRCDL conference.
