My main research interests are:
• Relationship between rearing conditions (e.g., space allowance, illumination, environmental enrichment tools), animal welfare and the quality of the derived products.
• Minimally-invasive welfare assessment (e.g., hair cortisol, behavioral analysis, slaughter recordings)
• Studies on consumer perception of animal welfare.
• Quality of meat (especially pork) and derived products (e.g., Parma Ham).
