Eleo Stacchiotti

Eleo (she/they) is a PhD student in Visual, Performing, and Media Arts (XXXVIII cycle) at the Department of the Arts, contributing to the PNRR project Fashion and Made in Italy: Storytelling and Valorisation in Visual Culture and the Digital Turn (Spoke 1 Digital Advanced Design). Their research explores the intersections of visual culture, immersive technologies, and digital heritage. They hold a Master’s in Media, Arts, and Performance Studies from Utrecht University, where they investigated Immersive Virtual Reality in contemporary art and climate crisis education. They are a Junior Fellow of the International Research Centre CFC-Culture Fashion Communication and Senior Editor for Zonemoda Journal. In Fall 2024, they were a Visiting Scholar at Harvard University under the supervision of Giuliana Bruno.  They curated a research project on virtual and augmented reality for Digicult and co-curated the IMPAKT Festival 2020 (Utrecht). Their interests include visual culture, media theory, digitization, 3D modeling, and immersive technologies in contemporary art.
