• Master in Water and Marine Coastal Management and Master of Science in Environmental Assessment from the Universities of Bologna, Cádiz and Algarve (2022)
• Master of Science in Sanitary Engineering (2014) and Civil Engineer at the Universidad de San Carlos de Guatemala (2011)
• Master in Business Administration with Specialization degree in Project Assessment and Development (2017) and Graduate in Public Management at Universidad Mariano Galvez de Guatemala (2016).
Academic carrier
After a few years of contract teaching (from 2015 to 2020) at Universidad de San Carlos de Guatemala, in 2024 he became a research fellow ar the UN Collaborative Center for Coastal Resilience at the Department of Physics and Astronomy at the University of Bologna.
He specializes in environmental impact assessment, coastal ecosystem services, well-being and human health and has completed more than fifty expert training courses in environmental impact assessment, water and coastal management, blue economy, public management and water policy
Teaching activities
From 2015 to 2020 he carried out teaching activities as holder of various courses for Bachelor's and Master's Degree programmes for the School of Postgraduate Studies at the Faculty of Engineering at Universidad de San Carlos de Guatemala.
He has experience in coastal planning and has participated as a lecturer, speaker and delegate in deliberative spaces on coastal, water management, impact assessment and sustainability internationally.
