Short Bio

Edera Anna De Santi is a PhD student in Modern Languages, Literatures, and Cultures: Diversity and Inclusion, curriculum EDGES - Women’s and Gender Studies (39th cycle).

She graduated with honors in Linguistic Mediation from the SSML Fondazione Unicampus San Pellegrino (RN) in 2019, and later earned a Master’s degree with honors in Language, Society, and Communication from the University of Bologna in 2022. In the same year, she was awarded the America Giovani Award for University Talent, granted by the Italy-USA Foundation, and in 2023 she completed an executive master’s program in Leadership for International Relations and Made in Italy.

Her research focuses on the contribution of Spanish women writers and war reporters between the end of the 19th century and the beginning of the 20th century, aiming to highlight and valorize the female perspective through the analysis of war chronicles, novels, and short stories, employing methodologies from gender studies, literary criticism and corpus linguistics.

Since February 2025, she has been the Representative of the third-cycle education (PhD) on the Joint Committee of LILEC.
