Diletta Santovito

After obtaining a bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences and a master’s degree in Biodiversity and Evolution, she is currently pursuing a PhD in Earth, Life and Environmental Sciences at the University of Bologna, under the supervision of Prof. Duccio Rocchini, Prof. Alessandro Chiarucci and Dr. Riccardo Testolin.

The project, funded by the PNRR, is articulated in the context of the National Biodiversity Future Center (NBFC, https://www.nbfc.it/en ) and focuses on the use of large-scale biodiversity big data for conservation purposes. The end goal of the research is to produce species distribution models of vascular plant species in italy, both in the present and projected into the future, for the development of scenarios for the expansion of Italian protected areas is pursuit of the goals of the EU Biodiversity Strategy 2030.
