I am a PhD candidate in the 40th cycle of Agricultural and Food Economics and Policy. My research examines the role of entrepreneurship as a driver of innovation in the EU food industry, assessing the influence of both individual and systemic factors on the development of new entrepreneurial initiatives.
I graduated in Food Science and Technology from the University of Catania (July 2022, 110/110 cum laude) with a thesis focused on high-quality agri-food production in Portugal, carried out during my time at Nova University Lisbon. Subsequently, in October 2024, I obtained a second degree in the same field from the University of Bologna (110/110 cum laude), with a thesis on entrepreneurship and innovation in the European food industry, developed at the Polytechnic University of Madrid.
My interests focus on agri-food economics, particularly market dynamics, the valorisation of traditional food products, and the role of innovation in food supply chains.
