Member of the Osservatorio Scientifico of the University of Bologna, of the Board of Directors of the Italian Society of Physiology, and of the Institute for Advanced Studies of the University of Bologna. Vice Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy of the University of Bologna in 2004-2005. Member of national and international scientific Committees. Coordinator of the Dottorato di Ricerca in Neurophysiology of the University of Bologna. Member of the Bioethical Board of the University of Bologna. Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy of the University of Bologna for 2006-2009.

Neurophysiology and neuroanatomy of the visual system.
