The research activity focuses on the study of photographic poetics and practices at the turn of the twentieth and twenty-first centuries, with particular attention to the exchanges and mutual influences between the fields of art and fashion. The main areas of investigation include:
- Photography, aesthetics, and creative practices in the post-privacy era;
- Intersections between artistic and social photographic practices;
- Fashion photography and niche periodical publishing.
A second line of research addresses the valorization of the cultural heritage of fashion companies, with a specific focus on:
- Corporate museums in the fashion sector: types, functions, and exhibition models;
- Exhibitions and celebratory events as tools for brand myth-making;
- Opportunities offered by digital transformation for enhancing the cultural heritage preserved in corporate archives, including the potential of the Metaverse and immersive technologies.
