Academic discipline: GEO/12 Oceanography and Physics of the Atmosphere

Curriculum vitae

PhD student in "Future of Earth. Climate Change and Social Challenges" at the ALMA MATER STUDIORUM - University of Bologna, after having obtained a Master's Degree in Terrestrial, Environmental and Interdisciplinary Physics at the University of Trieste with a final grade of 110/110 cum laude. I am precise, determined, willing, with a passion for reading and a strong interest in environmental issues. In the future, my aim is to devote myself to climatology and to the study of the interactions between the atmosphere and the planet Earth in a context of global climate change.

Academic training

I graduated, with 110 cum laude, in Terrestrial, Environmental and Interdisciplinary Physics at the University of Trieste. At the moment, I am enrolled in the XXXVII cycle of the PhD course in "Future of Earth. Climate Change and Social Challenges" at UNIBO. My research project develops in the oceanographic field and aims to develop advanced oceanic projections in the southern European seas in order to study the interactions and exchanges between river and marine basins.

Erasmus period

Through the Erasmus+ program I lived for six months in Munich, where I attended university courses and passed all the exams. During this stay, I had the opportunity to confront myself with a different cultural and social context, to study the German language and improve the English one, to acquire new and effective methods of studying and to be more independent and self-confident.

Scientific skills

I have in-depth knowledge of classical physics, mathematical analysis, quantum mechanics, statistical physics, physics of matter, geophysical fluid dynamics, seismology, atmospheric physics and climatology.

Digital skills

Great skills of the Office Package (Word Excel PowerPoint etc.) / Social Network / Windows, MacOs, Unix / Fortran 95 Programming (basic) / Programming (C ++) / CDO NCO NCL - Manipulation of files in NetCDF and GRIB / MatLab format (basic level) / Experience in using some tools of the GMT (Generic Mapping Tools) software / Using Gnuplot / GrADS

Linguistic skills

C1 level in English, B1 level in German and Spanish
