Research fellow at the University of Bologna, she conducts her research in the area of biopolymers for the project called "Sustainable Polymeric Materials for Agribusiness and Packaging." Research interests are particularly directed at the production of innovative biodegradable and/or compostable materials having bioactive and biocompatible properties for applications mainly in the agricultural sector.
Education
Graduated in Industrial Chemistry in 2017, later specializing in Polymeric Materials in 2020 at the University "la Sapienza" of Rome, she obtains in 2021 the MATESPACK Master's degree concerning sustainable materials and technologies for polymeric and cellulosic packaging at the University of Salerno.
Scientific activities
Training internship at the Macromolecules laboratories of the University "La Sapienza" working on the polymeric characterization of polypropylene through FT-IR analysis under variable and modulated temperature during the bachelor's degree and later participating in a research project concerning the modification, cross-linking and characterization of hyaluronic acid and other polysaccharides for the production of hydrogels applicable in the field of tissue engineering, during the master's internship.
Corporate training at flexible packaging manufacturer Di Mauro Group in Cava de' Tirreni, Salerno province where he served as a quality control technician and actively collaborated with the internal R&D department to replace commercial films with single-material recyclable films with performance suitable for the application.
Assigned to the CRdC Tecnologie Scarl Competence Center in Naples in collaboration with the Chemical Engineering Department of the University of Salerno for the BIOLINE research project. The project deals with modified biopolymers for the realization of a line of innovative products: preparation and characterization of active and environmentally sustainable polymeric films for food packaging.
