Short Bio

PhD Student in Historical and Archaeological Sciences. Memories, Civilizations and Heritage (XL Cycle) at the Department of History Cultures Civilizations of Alma Mater Studiorum – University of Bologna.
Her research focuses on the reconstruction of the commercial relationships established by the city of Akragas with its chora and the other poleis of Sicily in the late Archaic and Classical ages through the archaeological evidence of Western-Greek amphorae produced in Agrigento.
She has previously worked on Archaic, Classical and Hellenistic Greek votive terracottas from Agrigento.
She collaborates on research projects in Agrigento (Kerameikos West of Porta V; Hellenistic-Roman Quarter; Residential Quarter North of the Via Sacra) and Selinunte (Acropolis).

Research topic: Production, trade, consumption. Locally produced Western Greek amphorae as an archaeological indicator of the socio-economic relationships between Akragas, its chora and the other poleis of Sicily between the 6th and 5th centuries.
