Born in 1987, he holds a Master’s degree in Law (first-class honours) from the University of Bologna (2011), a double PhD degree in European Law and Public law from the Universities of Bologna and Strasbourg (2015), and the national scientific qualification as Associate Professor of EU law (since 2021). He is a researcher (tenure track) in EU Law at the University of Bologna since October 2024.
He has been Postdoc research fellow in EU law at the University of Bologna (2015-2018), Visiting researcher at the Universities of Strasbourg (2014), Maastricht (2015) and Paris 2 (2018), and Adjunct professor of EU law in France, Italy, and China (starting from 2015). He combines an academic career with a long professional experience in the EU institutions, having worked first as a local parliamentary assistant to a member of the European Parliament (2010-2014), and then as a legal administrator (2018-2019) and legal secretary (2020-2024) at the Court of Justice of the European Union.
