Associate Professor of Entrepreneurship at the University of Bologna since 2023. My research focuses on investigating the emergence of novelty through the mobilization of cultural resources. Narratives, stories, symbols and rituals all contribute to the material consequences that entrepreneurs and organizations incur when seeking support so I'm interested in understanding how these are fashioned and what impact they have on access to opportunities.

Academic career
After spending two years at Penn State University as a post-doctoral scholar and lecturer (2009-2011), I was hired as an Assistant Professor of Entrepreneurship at the University of Illinois at Chicago (2011-2017) and then moved as an Associate Professor of Entrepreneurship at IESEG School of Management in Paris, France (2017-2023) prior to joining the faculty of the Department of Management at the University of Bologna.
Teaching
I have taught classes in Entrepreneurship and Strategy across all institutions and I am currently teaching Strategic Management and Entrepreneurship in bachelor and master's degrees.
