Antonietta Del Bove is currently a research fellow at the Department of Cultural Heritage of the University of Bologna (Ravenna Campus). An archaeologist and physical anthropologist, she specializes in the study of human remains through Virtual Anthropology and Geometric Morphometrics approaches. She obtained her International PhD in Paleoanthropology from the Universitat Rovira i Virgili and IPHES-CERCA in Tarragona, Spain, developing new research methods for studying sexual dimorphism in the Homo sapiens cranium using GM, Virtual Anthropology, and Artificial Intelligence.
Actively committed to promoting Open Science and advocating for gender equality in academia as an Equality Agent, she serves as an associate editor for the Data in Brief journal by Elsevier. She has participated in over 20 national and international archaeological excavations, organized workshops on R and GM, and is the organizer of the international conference AHEAD 2024.
