Short Bio

Associate professor at the University of California, Irvine, and visiting adjunct professor at the University of Bologna, she works in philosphy of language, theoretical philosophy, history of contemporary philosophy, social epistemology, and feminist epistemology, including LGBTQ topics. She has worked in particular on Ludwig Wittgenstein, developing a comparison with pragmatism (Charles S. Peirce and William James) and applying some of his notions to the study of contemporary issues in social epistemology such as prejudice and hermeneutical injustice. Among her recent publications, the monograph Wittgenstein on Forms of Life (Cambridge University Press, 2022).
