Department of Biological, Geological, and Environmental Sciences

Academic discipline: GEO/02 Stratigraphy and Sedimentology

Short Bio

PhD student (39th cycle) in Stratigraphic Geology and Sedimentology at the University of Bologna, enrolled in the Earth, Life and Environmental Sciences (STVA) course. My doctoral project is titled "Environmental changes in the coastal-shelf segment during the Quaternary: bio-sedimentary patterns and their controlling factors" and aims to investigate the environmental changes occurred during the Quaternary in transitional and marine areas, in response to natural and/or anthropic forcing factors. Analyses are performed using a multiproxy approach, based on the integration of sedimentological and micropaleontological (benthic foraminifera and ostracods) data, mainly focusing on subsoil successions.

My PhD supervisor is Professor Veronica Rossi and my co-supervisors are Professor Stefano Claudio Vaiani and Professor Alessandro Amorosi.
