Short Bio

PhD candidate in Japanese Language and Translation (Cycle XXXVIII of the PhD program in "Modern Languages, Literatures, and Cultures: Diversity and Inclusion" - Curriculum: LINGMOD) at the University of Bologna, Italy, focusing on Japanese language, applied linguistics, modern language teaching, and translation.

Research interests include the perception and translation of Japanese honorific language, various forms of language learning, translation as a teaching strategy, and the promotion of intercultural communication.

Currently a Visiting Scholar at the State University of New York at Stony Brook (NY, United States of America), where he is conducting research on the intersection of translation and the practice of translanguaging in the learning of Japanese as a foreign language. His work explores the fields of Translation Studies and language pedagogy from an intercultural perspective.
