Curriculum vitae

Medical Oncologist, Ph.D. student, and research fellow in Oncology at the University of Bologna since 2023, conducts clinical and scientific activities in the field of thoracic oncology. The main research interests focus on identifying biomarkers capable of improving the personalization of therapies and, consequently, the survival of patients with lung cancer.

 

Education

Graduated with honors in Medicine and Surgery in 2017 from the University of Parma, obtained a specialization diploma in Medical Oncology from the University of Bologna in 2023. Researcher at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in Boston, an affiliate hospital of Harvard University, since July 2022. In 2023, I was selected by the International Association for the Study of Lung Cancer (IASLC) for the IASLC Academy.

 

Scientific Activities

Engaged in national and international research projects, conducted lung cancer research at the Thoracic Oncology Department of the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in Boston, affiliated with Harvard University, from July 2022 to November 2023; currently continues to collaborate with the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute remotely. Author of more than 70 publications in peer-reviewed international journals, mainly in the field of thoracic oncology. Presented scientific works at various international conferences, including the World Conference of Lung Cancer (WCLC) in 2021 and 2023, American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) in 2023 and 2024, Targeted Therapies in Lung Cancer in 2023, European Lung Cancer Congress (ELCC) in 2024.

 

Membership in Scientific and Editorial Committees

Member of the "Career Development" committee of the International Association for the Study of Lung Cancer (IASLC), with a mandate until the end of 2025. Selected as a meeting correspondent by the Society for Immunotherapy of Cancer in 2023, serving as an expert envoy at the "ESMO Immuno-Oncology" congress in Geneva, Switzerland. I have served as associate editor for the journal ‘Cancer Immunology, Immunoherapy,’ and review editor for 'Frontiers in Oncology' and 'Frontiers in Immunology.' Worked as a guest editor for special issues published in the journal ‘Diagnostics.’

 

Awards

In 2023, I received the Educational Award from the International Association for the Study of Lung Cancer (IASLC) for a study on lung cancer presented at the "Targeted Therapies of Lung Cancer" Congress held in Santa Monica (California, US). I have also received the award for the IASLC Academy 2023, held in Singapore. In 2023, I received the Fondazione F. Calabresi award for the best publication by a young Italian researcher in 2023 during the "Grandangolo. Un anno di Oncologia" congress held in Genoa. In 2024, I received a Merit Travel Grant for a study on lung cancer presented at the European Lung Cancer Congress (ELCC). In 2025, I received another Educational Award from the IASLC for a study on lung cancer presented at the "Targeted Therapies of Lung Cancer" Congress held in Huntington Beach (California, US)
