Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Bologna since 2022, conducting research in the field of cereal genetics, particularly maize. The research interests focus on the regulation of root and flowering development. Currently, the research is centered on the development of maize lateral roots, while also contributing to genome editing programs for barley and durum wheat.
Education
Graduated in Agricultural Sciences and Technologies, specializing in Biotechnology and Plant Production, in 2018 from the Department of Agricultural and Food Sciences at the University of Bologna. Earned a PhD in Agricultural Genetics in 2022.
Scientific Activity
Currently a participant in the European research program “iSMARTBAR” (PRIN 2022) as a research fellow. Visiting research student at Crop Functional Genomics – University of Bonn in 2019.
