Dissertation topics suggested by the teacher.
The proposed internship projects deal with the research activities of the group, which take place along the following topics:
Molecular machines and motors
Molecules with complex topologies (rotaxanes, catenanes and related species)
Photo- and electro-active molecular and supramolecular systems and materials
The internship work generally involves organic synthesis and characterization, NMR spectroscopy, UV-visible absorption and luminescence spectroscopy, photochemical measurements, electrochemical experiments.
The specific internship project is assigned in agreement with the student, depending on the ongoing research activities. In the laboratory, the student is supervised day-by-day by a young researcher (PhD student or post-doctoral fellow) of the group. The project may be carried out in collaboration with other laboratories at UNIBO or CNR, or based in other national/international research institutes.
