Francesco Boldrin

Research Fellow of the University of Bologna since April 2020, Francesco’s activities deal with private law. His research interests focus on the legal implications at a systematic level of the development of Artificial Intelligence and of automated decision-making processes. Specifically, he analyses the legal issues raised by the algorithmic application of legal norms and the developing criteria of civil liability for damage to persons or things caused by action or omission performed by A.I.

Francesco is the author of a monograph on maritime security, considered in the double meaning of “safety” and “security”, that deals specifically with the repercussion that the interest in safe navigation has on the models of port governance and on the organization of port activities.
