Luca Lenzi is a postdoctoral researcher in Materials Science and Technology at the Department of Civil, Chemical, Environmental, and Materials Engineering (DICAM) of the University of Bologna. His expertise lies in the field of polymer science, with a specific focus on bio-based polymers, plasticizers, elastomers, and sustainable additives. His research activities aim at designing and synthesizing functional materials from renewable feedstocks, studying their structure–property relationships, and evaluating their performance in both bioplastics and rubber systems. He is particularly involved in the development of recyclable and reprocessable materials, including dynamic covalent networks for circular applications. His work combines chemical design, material processing, and sustainability assessment, with an emphasis on the integration of renewable carbon and waste valorization. He actively collaborates on national and international research projects and contributes to the dissemination of results through scientific publications and academic outreach.
