Programme aims
-
The general objective of the programme is to provide basic training in the field of visual arts, cinema, music, theatre and media culture generally.
At the end of the programme, students are able to use historical, critical and analytical skills applied to the reference languages of these disciplinary fields.
They will therefore be able to apply techniques for collecting and processing empirical data, and handle communication and information management tools. They will also be able to use at least one other European Union language fluently, both in written form and orally.
The programme sets out to train three basic professional figures: cultural operator in various fields involving the management of the artistic, cinematographic and musical heritage; operators working in the design, organisation and management of artistic events and entertainment in the visual arts, cinema, music and theatre; supplier of contents for the cultural industry, publishing, television and multimedia sectors.
The curriculum includes some compulsory course units in basic humanities (literature, history, philosophy, foreign languages). Other mandatory course units cover specific learning areas (art, cinema, theatre, music) fostering strong historical knowledge of the art system as a whole. The programme is completed with a wide range of elective course units, allowing students to specialise their own learning path.
