Admission requirements

Admission to the 1st cycle degree programme is subject to have obtained a five-year secondary school diploma or equivalent suitable qualification got abroad, or a four-year secondary school diploma and diploma for the relative supplementary year, or, where no longer active, admitted students will be assigned additional learning requirements.

The degree programme has restricted access, according to the available resources. The number of places and selection methods are published annually in the relative call for applications. Admission to the degree programme with restricted access is subject to passing an entrance exam with at least the minimum score indicated in the call for applications.

All applicants are required to demonstrate the required knowledge and skills; assessment will take place during the selection process. The entrance exam is deemed passed by applicants obtaining at least the minimum score indicated in the call for applications.

Additional learning requirements and relative testing

Applicants obtaining less than the minimum score in the entrance exam will be assigned additional learning requirements (OFA), and will be required to attend supplementary courses in mathematics or any other learning activities running for such purpose, as laid down in the call for applications. The OFA must be completed in the first year of the programme and in any case in the terms set by the University. Students who do not complete the additional learning requirements in the first year of registration shall be required to enrol in the first year of the programme as repeating students.

Applicants who already have a university degree or diploma, who are enrolling in the restricted-access degree programme transferring from another programme running at the University of Bologna or another university, shall in any case be required to sit the entrance exam complying the with rules indicated above.
