Learning outcomes

The module, in line with the objectives of the minor of which it is a part, aims to develop the following knowledge (knowing) and skills (knowing how) in students.

Knowledge
- Understanding the concept of literacy and its theoretical developments in the recent debate on New Literacies

Skills
- Develop transversal competences, such as creativity, flexibility and problem solving skills

- Literacy: meaning and evolution of the construct; the Dynamic Literacies
- Media Literacy: genesis and developments
- From Media to New Literacies: information, data, Artificial Intelligence
- Methods and tools: audiovisual, information, data analysis.a=1

Teaching methods

The module is delivered in blended mode.

Specifically, the components of the overall teaching strategy are:
- face-to-face teaching
- synchronous webinar (expert testimony);
- an online Guided Practical Activity (GPA)

Assessment methods

Analysis and evaluation of the GPA with personalised feedback to the student

Teaching tools

The module makes use of:

- a Moodle LMS for content delivery and asynchronous interaction with students;

- the MOdE white rooms, developed on the DRUPAL platform;

- the TEAMS video communication environment for synchronous webinars
