Teaching methods
In-person lectures. During these sessions, the primary information regarding the anatomy, physiology, and pathology of ophthalmologic areas will be presented and discussed. These clinically focused concepts will be effectively integrated with teachings on nursing management, aiming to facilitate students’ learning of the discipline in preparation for their future professional roles.
Assessment methods
The assessment consists of a written quiz, with 10 multiple-choice questions, taken alongside other modules: Ophthalmology (10 questions), Urology (10 questions), Physiotherapy (25 questions), and Radiotherapy (10 questions). The TECO module, however, is evaluated separately by the respective instructors. Exam registration must be completed online through Alma Esami; no late registration requests will be accepted.
The Ophthalmology portion will be considered passed if the student correctly answers at least 6 questions. This result will then be combined with those from the other integrated course modules, and the exam will be deemed passed if all individual sections are at least satisfactory. However, failure to pass even one section will require retaking the entire exam at a later date. The total duration of the written exam is 60 minutes, and tools such as calculators, dictionaries, etc., are not permitted. Exam results will be communicated via Alma Esami, and students may choose to reject their grade by notifying the administration via email.
