Learning outcomes

Student is expected to acquire all linguistic skills: speaking, writing, listening and reading comprehension. The course uses communicative method of teaching. It also offers a brief introduction to Chinese studies. At the end of the course, the student - is familiar with the basic grammar structure of Chinese; - is able to engage in and produce simple oral and written utterances; - is able to analyze and comprehend texts.

Course contents

The course provides basic skills for writing, reading, understanding simple texts, producing everyday dialogues with basic communicative functions.


Specifically, the student will learn to greet, introduce themselves, indicate and ask about their origin and nationality, talk about their hobbies and interests, indicate possession, express intention and need, describe character, indicate age.
From a grammatical point of view, affirmative, interrogative and negative sentences, the verbs essere and avere, interrogative pronouns, frequency adverbs, constructions with verbs in series, modal verbs, classifiers, adjectival verbs, some indirect complements will be presented.


In the part of the readership, students will delve into the aspects of reading and writing and phonetics, and will develop dialogic and communicative skills.
