Learning outcomes
Upon completion of the course, the student knows the principles and regulations of employment under public administrations following the so-called privatization of public employment. In terms of competencies, the student knows: the system of sources of the subject; the regulations of the main institutions of the employment relationship (tasks and classification, supervisory and disciplinary powers, flexible recruitment and mobility, management, jurisdiction, and dispute management); the related trade union law (trade union representation and representativeness at the national level and in the workplace, the bargaining process, validity, effectiveness, and interpretation of collective agreements). In terms of skills, the student is able to locate and understand: the legal sources of the subject and the national framework and sectoral collective agreements; the published judgments in the field through the main databases; the doctrinal contributions published in the main journals of the subject. The student is aware of the differences compared to the regulation of subordinate work in enterprises, and from an interdisciplinary perspective, has the ability to discern aspects of organization and administrative law from those governed by privatized public labor law.
