Course contents

Knowledge of the main causes and clinical appearance of supraortic vessels obstructive lesions and diagnostic tools leading to treatment decision. State of art of medical, surgical and endovascular techinques focusing on the results of recent clinical trials.

• Etiology of supraortic trunks lesions
• Clinical and diagnostic aspects of supraortic trunks lesions
• Role of Duplex scanning in the diagnosis of carotid artery stenosis
• Indication and results in the treatment of carotid lesions
• Clinical cases presentation
• Materials (guidewires, catheters, balloons stents, protection devices )  for the endovascular treatment of supraortic trunks lesions
