For both modules the teachers are available to evaluate different texts proposed by the students.
Teaching methods
The course is made up of 2 modules. Each module includes 6 teaching units: the first one is focused on the Introduction of the discipline and the last one is dedicated to exercises and seminars.
All the in-presence lessons are supported by slides and ledwall.
In detail, unit 6 of both modules deals with exercises and seminars to favour a better comprehension of the course content through applicative activities and scholars’ presentations. During these lessons, excel and other software for calculation can be used.
Teachers are available to support any specific requirement for the students to let them in the best condition to attend the lectures.
“As concerns the teaching methods of this course unit, all students must attend Module 1, 2 [https://www.unibo.it/en/services-and-opportunities/health-and-assistance/health-and-safety/online-course-on-health-and-safety-in-study-and-internship-areas] on Health and Safety online”.
Assessment methods
Final exam is oral and it covers both the parts of the course.
The exam can be taken in Italian or in English language.
The final exam is aimed at verifying the achievement of the educational objectives characterizing the course.
The examination regards the course on the whole: the tests of both modules must be taken together.
The official examination consists of an oral interview on all the topics of the course. It can also include the request for graphic demonstrations of any notions, as explained during lectures and exercises.
The oral examination takes between 25 and 30 minutes.
We will evaluate the level of knowledge and preparation, the use of appropriate terminology, and the ability to synthesize and argue. High performance according to these parameters allows to reach maximum ratings.
The final grade is given by an average (weighted on the number of credits) of the result obtained by the student in each module.
At the end of the course, in agreement with the students, a written test may be provided on the topics covered in the teaching units.
