Learning outcomes

Anaemias: classification and differential diagnosis.
Causes of anemia. aplastic anemia, iron-deficient A, megaloblastic A, chronic diseases A. and CRD-associated A, haemolytic A such as G6PD deficiency, autoantibodies, and acquired forrms such as paroxysmal nocturnal hemoglobinuria), Thalassemia and sickle cell anemia.
Chronic myeloproliferative disorders: chronic myeloid leukemia; polycythemia vera, essential thrombocythemia, myeloid metaplasia with myelofibrosis, hypereosinophilic syndrome Acute myeloproliferative disorders: acute myeloid leukemia (FAB-WHO-ICC-ELN classification).
Chronic lymphoproliferative disorders: chronic lymphocytic leukemia, prolymphocytic leukemia, hairy cell leukemia, Sezary syndrome, Hodgkin lymphoma, non-Hodgkin lymphoma. Monoclonal gammapathies: multiple myeloma, Waldestrom's disease, amyloidosis, cryoglobulinemia. Acute lymphoproliferative disorders: acute lymphoblastic leukemia (B,T) (immunological classification, FAB, WHO, ICC, ELN classifications).
Haematological changes in solid tumours. bone marrow insufficiency. Hypercalcemic syndrome. Tumor lysis syndrome. Complications of chemotherapy: nausea and vomiting, skin and mucous membranes, secondary leukemia and second tumours, pulmonary, neurological, cardiological, endocrine.

Bleeding diseases:
-Congenital and acquired thrombocytopenia on an autoimmune basis, from consumption (PTT, CID)
- Coagulation factor deficiency disorders (F vW deficiency disease), Congenital haemophilia A and B and acquired forms. Thrombotic diseases:
- from natural anticoagulant deficiency to acquired forms.

For each pathology examined, the pathophysiological, clinical, diagnostic and therapeutic aspects will be discussed.
