00737 - Neuroradiology

Academic Year 2024/2025

  • Teaching Mode: Traditional lectures
  • Campus: Ravenna
  • Corso: Single cycle degree programme (LMCU) in Medicine and Surgery (cod. 5708)

Learning outcomes

At the end of the course, the student understands the possibilities of Neuroradiology in both diagnostic and therapeutic-interventional aspects, as well as in research. The course begins with a comprehensive and general exposition of the neuroradiological discipline. Subsequent lessons will cover various diagnostic techniques, the anatomical bases of CT, MRI, and angiographic studies of the central nervous system, as well as the radiological diagnosis of major neurological pathologies. The course will also explore the potential of interventional procedures, both endovascular and percutaneous, covering aneurysms, arteriovenous malformations, spinal and disc pathology. Finally, the course will conclude with an analysis of indications for examinations and diagnostic protocols.
