Learning outcomes
The course aims to explain the employment relationship regulation, also according to the constitutional principles and the recent and significant legislative reforms. At the end of this course the student will be able to: - understand the main forms of employees protection provided for by the law - be aware of the principal legal issues related to labour law - use instruments learned during the course, applying them to concrete and specific circumstances.

Employment contracts and freelance contracts
The legal organisation of the labour market
Protection of professionalism: job descriptions, qualifications, and categories and the jus variandi
Workplace and working time
Work regulations: management, control and rule powers

The causes of termination of the employment relationship

For attending students, the examination can be prepared on the teaching material provided on the dedicated website and on the notes taken in class.
For Non-attending students, the examination should be prepared on the book indicated below.
Students will be notified of recommended reading before class begins.
Teaching methods
The Course is organized in 15 lesson. The material used in class (slides, readings, etc.) will be available in advance.
Assessment methods
The exam consists of an oral examination aimed at assessing the knowledge acquired by the student during the course. In particular, the student's achievement of an overall vision of the Italian working system and the ability to present the specific issues in a concise and complete way will be evaluated, expecting from the student a critical analysis of the topics and through an adequate legal language.
The course of Labour Law is part of the Integrated Course in Labour And Social Security Law (curriculum Sociology and Social Research).
Each of the two Courses comprised in the Integrated Course has its own program, its own cycle of lessons and its own exam test with an evaluation expressed in thirtieths.

The final mark of the Integrated Course is unique, recorded by the teacher of Social security law and is the result of the average of the marks obtained in the two courses (rounded down for fractions of voting ranging between 0.1 and 0.4 and rounded up for fractions of vote between 0.5 and 0.9).
