Learning outcomes
After completing the internship, the student has attended to practical lessons that enable him to face simple clinical cases of prosthodontics.
Course contents
Construction of edentulous models. Stone models refining and construction of split-cast according to Lauritzen technique. Construction of the individual impression tray for edentulous patients. Construction of wax rims and registration plates. Models mounting on the articulator and wax rims adaptation. Frontal and posterior teeth mounting of a complete denture. Modeling of prosthetic body.
Partially edentulous patient models: project and design of a removable partial denture using the parallelometer. Analysis of different options for different clinical schemes of partial edentulism.

Teaching methods
Hands-on lessons in the laboratory, using preliminary educational tutorials and practical demonstration.
Assessment methods
The diverse steps of the complete denture construction will be evaluated during the internship with midterm evaluations. The final examination will evaluate the complete dentures assembled by the student during the practical internship.
